Real Dogs Eat Quiche


  • 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 
  • 1/2 pound uncooked turkey breakfast sausage links, casings removed
  • One 9-inch frozen pie crust, partially baked
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, crumbled
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped


Preheat the oven to 375°. In a medium skillet, heat the Olive Oil, 1 turn of the pan, over medium-high heat. Add the sausage and cook, breaking up the meat, until browned; let cool. Add the sausage to the pie crust and scatter the cheese on top.
In a medium bowl, beat together the eggs, half-and-half and parsley, and pour over the sausage and cheese. Bake for 40 minutes; let cool.
Chop up a wedge for the pooch.....   add Salt and Pepper for HUMAN portions


Meaty Doggy Treats

6 ounces lean ground beef
7 teaspoons wheat germ
3 teaspoons Nonfat Dry Milk
1/2 teaspoon vegetable oil
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a 12-inch skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until no reddish-pink is showing; drain. Using a food processor grind meat until fine. Combine ground beef, wheat germ, powdered milk and oil in a bowl. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a greased cookie sheet. Press flat. Bake 20 minutes or until light brown. Transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool.
